Amazing display of territorial behaviour outside the front door as the local Booted eagle and Kestrel were taking advantage of a sunny interlude between the heavy showers and searching for something for breakfast. No points for guessing the winner, but the kestrel didn't just fly away without a fight - and making a lot of noise. I saw the kestrel later from the kitchen window sitting on the cable about 100m away at the top of the olive grove. I think there is a pair of kestrels nesting in the summer house up the road - looking forward to the chicks, but they had better watch out for the eagle! Sadly my phone wasn't able to snap the shot.
