Winter sunshine and spring birdsong

We are happy to be back at lovely Finca La Carroza to prepare for the summer ahead. The valley is spectacular at this time of year as the winter sunshine gains more strength and flora and fauna begin to burst into life. A couple of hours in the garden was all that was needed today to see our neighbouring Kestrels (Falco tinnunculus) hovering above the olive trees, a local resident Booted Eagle (Hieraaetus pennatus) swooping over the roof, colourful Jays and our teams of blackbirds that inhabit the hedge outside the front door. Early morning birdsong is a joy to hear as the mild temperatures of Southern Spain remind us that Spring and Summer are most definitely on the way.
